George Sisler(1-0) was the winner as St. Louis Browns shutout the Chicago
White Sox in 11 innings by a 1 to 0 score at Sportsman's Park.

Neither team managed to score in the first nine innings.  Finally, St. Louis
pulled the game out in the 11th inning.  Dee Walsh drew a walk.  Walsh was
safe on a stolen base.  Doc Lavan then lashed a single.  After an out was
recorded, John Leary stepped up to the plate and he slapped a one-base hit
making St. Louis the victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration.
St. Louis had 9 hits for the afternoon while Chicago had 5.  

The loss was charged to Reb Russell(2-3).  With this win, St. Louis has a
10-13 record.  They have been 3-7 lately.  With the loss, Chicago has a
record of 3-7 lately, 9-14 overall.
