The Philadelphia Athletics easily topped the Brooklyn Ward's Wonders; the
final score was 12 to 5.

Philadelphia brought 7 runs across the plate in the bottom of the 2nd inning
when they had 6 base hits. That early scoring was all that Bill Husted(2-0)
needed. Philadelphia finished with 13 hits while Brooklyn ended up with 9.

Con Murphy(2-2) was tagged with the loss. He was unable to control the
Philadelphia offense and allowed 13 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.

With this win, Philadelphia has a 6-8 record. They have been 5-5 lately.
With an impressive recent record of 8-2, Brooklyn hopes this will only be an
isolated loss - followed by another nice run.
