Jesse Tannehill tossed a complete game and Chief Zimmer had 2 base hits and 4
RBI at Exposition Park as the Pittsburg Pirates beat the Chicago Orphans by
the count of 16 to 8.

Chicago was unable to recover after Pittsburg went ahead in the bottom of the
5th inning when they scored 4 runs on 4 hits.  The key at-bat was by Zimmer
who elicited a roar from the hometown fans when he tripled plating three
runs.  Pittsburg bats were hot in the 5th inning which saw them score 4 runs
on 4 hits and the 8th inning when they had 4 runs on 5 hits.  Offensively,
Pittsburg was a juggernaut.  They scored in 6 separate innings.  

The winning pitcher was Tannehill(4-0) who allowed 8 runs for the game. Jack
Taylor(1-2) was hit with the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 22 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.
