Sam Brown hit 2 doubles and Vive Lindaman was able to finish what he started
and was credited with a complete game at South End Grounds where the Boston
Doves beat the Cincinnati Reds 9 to 3.

Cincinnati never recovered after Boston took the lead in the 5th inning
scoring 2 runners on 3 hits.  The big moment was provided by Claude Ritchey
who thrilled the crowd when he lashed a single bringing home two baserunners.
Boston finished with 11 hits in the victory.  

Lindaman(4-0) finished the game allowing 3 runs in the victory. Andy
Coakley(0-2) was the loser.  He allowed 11 hits and 4 walks in 7 and 2/3
innings.
