Ned Garver pitched a complete game and Eddie Robinson slammed a homerun and
had 4 RBI at Yankee Stadium where the Cincinnati Reds beat the slumping New
York-AL Yankees 10 to 4.

New York-AL was unable to climb back into it after Cincinnati went ahead for
good in the top of the 5th inning plating 3 runs utilizing 3 base hits.
Garver got things going when he doubled. After an out was recorded, Jackie
Robinson stepped up to the plate and he laced a single which scored a run.
After another out, Robinson then cracked a two-run shot. Cincinnati totaled
13 hits on the night.

The victory was credited to Garver(5-2) who went the distance, allowing 4
runs. Joe Dobson(0-4) was charged with the loss. He allowed 6 runs and 8
hits in 6 innings.
