The Brooklyn Dodgers halted a 5 game slide and got by the Cincinnati Reds at
Crosley Field.  The final score was 6 to 4.

Bob Buhl(4-2) earned his pay with a solid performance for Brooklyn.  He went 8
innings allowing 6 hits and 3 walks.  Cincinnati tried unsuccessfully to come
back in the 9th.  

Ray Narleski recorded the save, his 10th.  The losing pitcher was Tom
Poholsky(3-3).  Brooklyn scored big getting 6 runs off him in 5 innings.

'It's been a rough ride lately, but this was a good win for us' said Roy
Purcell, 'Maybe this will put us back on track.'
