Robin Roberts completed the game without help from the bullpen and Del Rice
went yard and had 2 RBI as the New York-AL Yankees came back to win one over
Cincinnati Reds, 4 to 3.

New York-AL had the game winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2
runs using 3 hits. Ted Kluszewski began the New York-AL spurt when he
blasted a solo shot. Roberts was next and he drew a walk. Richie Ashburn
then banged out a single. Ashburn took second on a stolen base. Johnny
Lipon came to the plate and was walked intentionally to load the bases.
After an out was recorded, Ralph Kiner stepped up to the plate and he laced a
one-base hit giving New York-AL the victory as 55,000 happy fans celebrated
wildly. New York-AL managed 13 hits in their victory.

Roberts(3-3) was the winner allowing 3 runs for the game. Bob Miller(2-1) was
the losing pitcher in relief. Robert Baker was all smiles after the
ballgame, 'It sure was looking pretty dim there for a while, but our guys
never gave up - and neither did our fans - they kept cheering us on. What a
sweet win!'
