Shortstop Ed McKean had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and John Clarkson was able to
finish what he started and was credited with a complete game at Exposition
Park where the Cleveland Spiders beat the Pittsburg Pirates 8 to
6.

Clarkson(4-1) had a steady outing.  He was reached for 13 hits and 5 walks in
9 innings.  Pittsburg made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to
push the needed runs across.  

The loss was charged to Frank Killen(4-1). He allowed 8 runs and 9 hits in 9
innings.
