TEAM RISP- Senators: 6 for 13 Colonels: 2 for 13

Second baseman Jack Crooks slammed 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Al Maul was
able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game at
Eclipse Park where the Washington Senators beat the Louisville Colonels 13 to
7.

Crooks was unconscious all day. The Louisville fans hated to see him
approaching the batter's box as he just kept delivering base hits! He blasted
a two-run home run in the 2nd inning, tripled resulting in a run in the 3rd
inning and cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 5th inning.
Washington had a total of 14 hits for the game.

Maul(1-3), allowing 7 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Phil
Knell(0-4) was given the loss. He got hammered, allowing 14 hits and 6 walks
in 9 innings.

Crooks was in a good mood after the game, 'I'm just seeing and hitting the
ball real well now. I made some adjustments last week and they are paying
off. That's what this game is about. making adjustments as the season goes
along.'
