Addie Joss completed the game without help from the bullpen and Charlie Carr
had 3 base hits at League Park as the Cleveland Naps beat the Washington
Nationals by the count of 8 to 1.

Cleveland jumped on top of Washington in the bottom of the 2nd inning plating
an isolated run using 2 hits.  Cleveland banged out 13 hits on the afternoon.

Joss(3-1), allowing 1 run for the game, picked up the victory. Beany
Jacobson(1-5) was charged with the loss.  He was touched for 13 hits and 2
walks in 8 innings.
