Frank Schulte had 4 hits and 6 RBI as the Philadelphia-AL Athletics bested the
Chicago-NL Cubs in 11 innings 10 to 9 at Shibe Park.

The game was deadlocked at 9 after nine full innings.  Philadelphia-AL won the
game in the 11th inning.  After an out was recorded, Danny Murphy laced a
one-base hit.  Murphy took off for second and slid in with a stolen base.
Schulte then banged out a single resulting in an exciting win for
Philadelphia-AL and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans.
Philadelphia-AL banged out 13 hits on the afternoon.  

The victory went to Barney Pelty(2-1) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs.
Eddie Dent(1-2) absorbed the loss in relief.  'Some days it just all comes
together, and this was one of them' Schulte said.  'I've been seeing the ball
pretty well lately.'
