Jack Coombs allowed Connie Mack to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
and Danny Murphy had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Philadelphia Athletics
bested the St. Louis Browns 8 to 4 at Sportsman's Park.

Coombs(5-1) had a solid outing for Philadelphia.  He went 9 innings
surrendering 5 hits and 6 walks.  Philadelphia finished with 11 hits in the
victory.
