Mel Parnell completed the game without help from the bullpen as the New York
Yankees defeated the Boston Red Sox by a score of 12 to 4 at Yankee
Stadium.
The New York fans enjoyed the offense provided by Ralph Kiner. He delivered a
single in the 1st inning, singled bringing in two baserunners in the 3rd
inning and lofted a three-run bomb in the 6th inning. New York had a total
