The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance provided by O'Neill. He blasted a two-run home run in the 3rd inning, tripled plating a run in the 4th inning and banged out a single in the 5th inning. St. Louis had a total of 16 hits for the game. The win was credited to Foutz(7-1) who went the whole way allowing 3 runs. Oyster Burns(3-4) was the loser. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 11 runs in 4 innings.
