Jesse Duryea delivered 9 solid innings at League Park as the Cincinnati Reds,
running on all cylinders, ripped the slumping Pittsburg Alleghenys by a large
13 to 3 margin.

Cincinnati jumped out to the early lead in the first inning as they scored 4
runs on 5 base hits.  That was all Duryea(4-2) needed.  Cincinnati had many
opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.  

Crazy Schmit(0-4) was tagged with the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing
16 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings.
