Third baseman Charlie Reilly hit 2 doubles and had 5 RBI and Tim Keefe pitched
a complete game as the Philadelphia Phillies smashed the overmatched New York
Giants, 18 to 8.

It was a good day for Philadelphia thanks to Reilly.  He laced a one-base hit
which was good for two runs in the 1st inning, doubled which brought home a
run in the 3rd inning and doubled bringing in two baserunners in the 6th
inning.  Philadelphia lit up the scoreboard in the 1st inning when they had 6
runs on 6 hits and the 7th inning with 5 runs on 4 hits.  Offensively,
Philadelphia was a juggernaut.  They scored in 6 separate innings.

Keefe(3-0), allowing 8 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Amos
Rusie(4-2) was the losing pitcher.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 18 hits
and 3 walks in 8 innings.
