to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Philadelphia Phillies
beat the Boston Beaneaters by a score of 5 to 1.

Donahue(2-2) was very good in the win.  He allowed just 9 hits and 1 walk in 9
innings lowering his ERA to 3.60.  Philadelphia and Boston each finished the
afternoon with 9 hits.
