Vic Saier collected 2 extra-base hits as the Chicago Cubs topped the Brooklyn
Robins by a score of 7 to 4 at Ebbets Field.

Chicago came up with the deciding runs in the top of the 8th inning when they
tallied 4 runs on 6 hits.  The Brooklyn offense proved no trouble in the
bottom of the 9th.  

George Pierce(4-2) allowed no runs in 3 innings, and picked up the victory.
Leon Cadore(1-1) took the loss in relief.  He allowed Chicago 3 runs in 2
innings of work.
