Buck Freeman had 4 hits at Bennett Park where the red-hot Philadelphia-AL
Athletics beat the Detroit Tigers in 10 innings by the score of 9 to 7.

Both teams were tied at 7 runs apiece after nine innings.  Finally,
Philadelphia-AL pulled the game out in the 10th inning.  After an out was
recorded, Sammy Strang was the sparkplug when he reached on an error.  Strang
took second on a stolen base.  After another out, Jake Beckley then doubled,
and an error was also committed, driving home two runs.  It was roller
coaster of a game as the lead change hands 6 times.  

The win went to Roy Patterson(5-1) who allowed 7 runs in 9 innings. Patterson
was helped out by Bucky Veil who recorded his 1st save.  Henry Schmidt(0-5)
took the loss.  He allowed 9 runs and 12 hits in 10 innings.  

With the win, Philadelphia-AL continued their winning ways; their streak now
stands at 7 games and counting.
