Sam Crawford knocked 3 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Jean Dubuc was able to
finish what he started and was credited with a complete game at Polo Grounds
as the Detroit Tigers beat the New York Yankees 10 to 7.

Crawford really lit it up for Detroit. The New York fans let him have it for
what he did to their boys. He smacked a three-run homer in the 2nd inning,
cracked a solo homerun in the 4th inning and delivered a solo blast in the
8th inning. Detroit managed 14 hits in their victory.

Dubuc(4-2) finished the game allowing 7 runs in the victory. The loss was
charged to Ray Keating(2-3). He got hammered, allowing 11 hits and 3 walks
in 6 and 1/3 innings.

'I felt great out there today,' Crawford said, 'Maybe I should make a regular
habit of getting to bed on time!'
