TEAM RISP- White Stockings: 5 for 15 Quakers: 2 for 10

Hugh Duffy rocketed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and John Tener went the distance
as the Chicago White Stockings topped the Philadelphia Quakers by a score of
14 to 8 at Baseball Grounds.

Duffy enjoyed a big day at the plate. He ripped a single in the 1st inning,
ripped a solo home run in the 6th inning and belted a three-run homer in the
9th inning. Due to a poorly pitched ballgame, scoring in 5 different innings
was still not enough for Philadelphia to come away with the victory.

Tener(2-1) finished the game allowing 8 runs in the victory. Charlie
Buffinton(4-4) took the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 9 innings
of work.
