Fred Klobedanz completed the game without help from the bullpen as the Boston
Beaneaters defeated the Cleveland Spiders by the score of 7 to 3 at League
Park.

Boston had the winning rally in the top of the 8th inning plating 3 runs on 2
base hits.  Billy Hamilton led off and started the rally when he drew a walk.
Hamilton was safe on a stolen base.  Fred Tenney then drew a walk.  Herman
Long stepped in and he doubled bringing in a run.  Hugh Duffy came up to bat
and slapped a base-hit adding another two runs to their total.  Boston
managed 9 hits in their victory.  

The win went to Klobedanz(4-2) who allowed 3 runs in the game. The loss was
charged to Mike McDermott(0-3).  He allowed 7 runs and 9 hits in 9 innings.
