Cowboy Jones tossed a complete game at Robison Field where the St. Louis
Perfectos beat the Louisville Colonels in 10 innings 6 to 5.

Both teams had scored 5 runs after nine full innings. St. Louis came out the
victor in the 10th inning. Cupid Childs delivered a base-hit. Bobby Wallace
was next to the plate, but was promptly struck out. Lou Criger got his turn
next, but he was a strikeout victim. Jack O'Connor followed next and he was
hit by a pitch. Harry Blake came up to bat and ripped a single giving St.
Louis the win as 2,285 happy fans joyfully celebrated. St. Louis and
Louisville each finished the afternoon with 10 hits.

Jones(4-2) allowed 5 runs on the game. Pete Dowling(2-4) suffered the loss.
He gave up 6 runs and 10 hits in 9 and 2/3 innings. 'I always am most
impressed when a pitcher finds a way to win even without his best stuff,'
Patsy Tebeau said after the game. 'Jones did not have command of his pitches
most of the afternoon, but he proved he really knew how to pitch!'
