Tom Fisher tossed a complete game at Robison Field as the Boston Beaneaters
beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6 to 5.

Fisher(1-2) gave a fine effort for Boston. He allowed 10 hits and 4 walks in
9 innings. St. Louis had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up
short.

Chappie McFarland(1-4) suffered the loss. He was stingy with the baserunners,
allowing just 7 hits and no walks in 9 innings. 'I had a little blister on my
index finger before the game, but I thought it was nothing.' Fisher said. 'I
was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put the ball where I wanted it.'
