Billy Goodman had 2 base hits as the New York Yankees beat the Cincinnati Reds
in 13 innings by a score of 4 to 3.

Both teams had scored 3 runs after nine full innings.  New York came out the
victor in the 13th inning.  Mike Guerra doubled.  Ted Gray stepped up next
and he banged out a single making New York victorious to the delight of the
the home town crowd.  New York had 9 hits for the afternoon.  

Gray(3-1) got the win allowing no runs in 5 innings. The loss was charged to
Dutch Leonard(1-3) in relief.  He allowed 1 run and 3 hits in 2 innings.
