George Kell connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI at Forbes Field where the
Boston-AL Red Sox beat the Pittsburgh Pirates by the score of 5 to
2.

Boston-AL erupted with the game winning runs in the 8th inning as they scored
4 runs on 2 base hits.  The highlight belonged to Kell who quieted the crowd
when he bombed a two-run dinger.  Both teams finished the game with 8 hits.

The winning pitcher was Bill Macdonald(1-0) who allowed no runs in 1/3 of an
inning. Tom Ferrick earned his 3rd save.  Billy Pierce(0-4) was the losing
pitcher.
