Gil Hodges homered and had 4 RBI as the Cleveland Indians outscored the New
York-AL Yankees 13 to 6.

Hodges had a big day with his bat.  He belted a three-run homer in the 1st
inning, smacked a single knocking in a run in the 5th inning and banged out a
one-base hit in the 6th inning.  Cleveland out-hit New York-AL for the game,
15 hits to 10.  

The victory went to Murry Dickson(4-3) who went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs.
Dickson got help from Dave Koslo who was credited with his 1st save.  Al
Brazle(0-1) was given the loss.  He was knocked around by Cleveland, allowing
14 hits and 7 walks in 7 innings.
