Don Larsen pitched a complete game and right fielder Andy Pafko homered and
had 4 RBI as the Washington Nationals defeated the Philadelphia-AL Athletics
12 to 3 at Connie Mack Stadium.

Pafko enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He blasted a two-run home run in the
2nd inning and tripled plating two runs in the 7th inning.  Washington
finished with 15 hits in the victory.  

Larsen(4-2) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 3 runs. Fritz
Dorish(2-3) was tagged with the loss in relief.  He allowed Washington 7 runs
in 2 innings of work.
