Billy Hamilton had 5 hits and 2 RBI and Jack Stivetts had a complete game at
Exposition Park as the Boston Beaneaters beat the Pittsburg Pirates 12 to
8.

Boston tallied 6 runs in the 2nd inning when they had 6 base hits.  The
biggest moment was provided by Herman Long who quieted the home crowd when he
slapped a single bringing home two baserunners.  Boston bats were hot in the
2nd inning when they had 6 runs on 6 hits.  Boston rapped out 20 hits for the
afternoon.  

Stivetts(1-6) got the victory, allowing 8 runs for the game. Frank Killen(7-2)
was the losing pitcher.  He was knocked around by Boston, allowing 20 hits
and 2 walks in 9 innings.
