Jesse Burkett had 2 base hits and Cy Young was able to finish what he started
and was credited with a complete game at Robison Field where the St. Louis
Cardinals beat the New York Giants by the score of 5 to 2.

St. Louis started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of
the first when they came up with 3 runs on 2 hits.  That was all the runs
Young(3-5) needed.  St. Louis banged out 10 hits on the afternoon.  

Ed Doheny(1-3) was the loser.  He surrendered 10 hits and 10 walks in 8
innings.
