Third baseman Lee Tannehill had 2 base hits and 3 RBI as the Boston-NL Braves
defeated the St. Louis-AL Browns by the score of 8 to 6 at Sportsmans
Park.

Boston-NL came up with the deciding runs in the 9th inning plating 2 runs on 2
base hits.  Jake Stahl opened up the inning nicely when he drew a walk.  Art
Griggs stepped up next and he doubled.  George Hunter then hit a deep fly
which plated a run.  Tannehill was up next and he stroked a one-base hit
scoring the final run of the inning.  Bill Burns(2-1) got help from Chick
Brandom who pitched great and earned his 2nd save.  

Harry Coveleski(0-1) took the loss in relief.  He allowed 4 hits and 2 walks
in 3 innings.
