WEB GEMS- Top 3rd: Ray Morgan robbed Eddie Collins of a base hit.

Eddie Collins had 4 hits and 3 RBI at National Park as the Brooklyn Dodgers
won in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the Washington Nationals by the
count of 11 to 5.

Brooklyn put a big number on the board in the top of the 9th inning, which
proved too much for Washington to overcome showing no mercy on Washington as
they plated 8 runs on 7 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Art
Butler who silenced the stadium when he ripped a base-hit scoring two
baserunners. The game was a wild affair with the lead changing hands 5
times.

The victory was credited to Earl Moseley(4-2) who went 2 innings, allowing 1
run. Smoky Joe Wood(4-3) suffered the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning
giving up 5 hits and 4 walks.

'Jeff Pasley was estatic following the game, 'You love stealing one on the
road like this. We just kept plugging away until we pulled it out!'
