Bill Tuttle left the yard and Dean Stone allowed 2 hits while blanking
Pittsburgh as the Brooklyn Dodgers bested the Pittsburgh Pirates 5 to 0 at
Forbes Field.

Stone(1-1) looked very much in control throughout the day.  He gave up just 2
hits and 6 walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA to 2.22.  Brooklyn banged out
12 hits on the afternoon.  

Billy Pierce(5-1) ended up with the loss.  He surrendered 8 hits and 2 walks
in 7 innings.
