Cleveland Indians won a dramatic crowd-pleaser over New York-AL Yankees at
Municipal Stadium pulling it out in their last at bats, 4 to 3.

Cleveland won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning.  After an
out was recorded, Roberto Clemente ripped a one-base hit.  Rocky Bridges came
to the plate and laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Gene Baker then stroked a
base-hit giving Cleveland the win and sending the home town fans into a
frenzy.  Cleveland out-hit New York-AL for the game, 10 hits to 7.  

Bob Feller(3-3) got credit for the victory, pitching 2/3 of an inning and
allowing no runs. Jack Meyer(3-3) was the loser in relief.
