Jim Hughes was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game and Jake Stenzel collected 3 extra-base hits as the Baltimore Orioles
defeated the Philadelphia Phillies by the score of 11 to 2 at Baker
Bowl.

Philadelphia found themselves trailing quickly as the Baltimore bats came
through in the first inning scoring a single run on 2 base hits.  Baltimore
kept the pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6 different
innings.  

Hughes(3-4) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. The losing
pitcher was Jack Fifield(0-1).  Baltimore knocked him around a bit, as he
gave up 11 runs in 9 innings.  

Baltimore now has a record of 11-6.  With the loss, Philadelphia has a record
of 6-4 lately, 10-8 overall.
