Left fielder Roy Thomas had 2 base hits and scored 4 times at Washington Park
as the Brooklyn Dodgers won a thriller over the Washington Nationals in, 6 to
5.

The game was decided in the 9th inning.  Eddie Collins ripped a one-base hit.
After an out was recorded, Mitchell took second on a stolen base.  After
another out, Harry Steinfeldt then doubled resulting in an exciting win for
Brooklyn and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans.
Offensively, Brooklyn was a juggernaut.  They scored in 6 separate innings.

Charlie Smith(7-2) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Jack
Coombs(3-1) was hit with the loss in relief.  He surrendered 3 hits and no
walks in 2 innings.
