Center fielder Harry Hooper had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds
won in dramatic fashion over the St. Louis-AL Browns by a score of 10 to 7 at
Sportsman'S Park.

Cincinnati had the winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 4 runners on 5
hits.  The critical plate appearance was by Gus Williams who disappointed the
partisan crowd when he tripled scoring two baserunners.  Cincinnati had a
total of 12 hits for the game.  

The victory went to Red Ames(2-0) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs. Hooks
Wiltse got the save, his 4th.  Ed Reulbach(3-1) was hit with the loss in
relief.
