In an entertaining game at Sportsman'S Park the final score was the Pittsburgh
Pirates 9, the St. Louis-AL Browns 6.

Pittsburgh started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of
the first as they creamed St. Louis-AL blasting them with 8 runs on 5 hits.
That early run support was all that Nick Altrock(3-2) required. Pittsburgh
had 11 hits for the game and St. Louis-AL had 8.

Altrock was helped out by Bob Wicker who recorded his 1st save. Harry
Howell(1-4) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 6 runs and 3 hits in 1/3 of
an inning.
