Cy Morgan pitched a complete game as the St. Louis Browns rallied impressively
to win in dramatic style over Philadelphia Athletics, 2 to 1.

St. Louis came through with the game-winning runs in the top of the 9th inning
with 2 runs utilizing 2 base hits.  Bobby Wallace kicked off the action when
he reached on an error.  Tom Jones followed next and he doubled.  Hunter Hill
then worked the squeeze play to perfection scoring a run.  Dick Padden got
his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes.  Mike Kahoe
came up to bat and banged out a single, and an error was also committed,
scoring the final run of the inning.  St. Louis had 7 hits for the afternoon.

Morgan(1-0) allowed 1 run on the game. Eddie Plank(4-4) was charged with the
loss.  'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I
thought it was nothing.' Morgan said.  'I was lucky I got a win because I
couldn't put the ball where I wanted it.'
