Joe Dimaggio smacked 2 triples and had 4 RBI as the Washington Nationals
destroyed the Boston-AL Red Sox by a score of 14 to 2 at Fenway Park.

The Boston-AL fans didn't appreciate the big day Dimaggio had.  He tripled
bringing home two baserunners in the 3rd inning and tripled bringing in two
baserunners in the 8th inning.  Overall Washington out-hit Boston-AL 18 to 6.

Bob Feller(4-0) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Erv
Palica(1-6) was charged with the loss.  He allowed 11 hits and 4 walks in 7
innings.
