George Zettlein went the distance and Bob Addy had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at
Union Grounds as the Philadelphia W Whites pulled off a dramatic comeback
beating the Brooklyn Atlantics by the count of 11 to 9.

The game started off with Philadelphia W taking the lead in the first plating
3 runs on 3 base hits.  Ned Cuthbert led off and keyed the rally when he
laced a single.  After an out was recorded, Fergy Malone came up and he
reached on an error.  Malone then hit a single resulting in a run.  Levi
Meyerle followed and he reached on an error.  George Bechtel came to the
plate and reached on an error bringing home one more runner.  After another
out, Fred Treacey came to bat and laced a base-hit, and an error was also
committed, scoring the final run of the inning.  Philadelphia W totaled 14
hits on the afternoon.  

Zettlein(4-5), allowing 9 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Jim
Britt(2-2) was hit with the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 14 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings.
