TEAM RISP- Pirates: 9 for 18 Ward's Wonders: 0 for 14

Tip O'Neill had 3 base hits and 2 RBI and Mark Baldwin pitched a complete game
at Eastern Park where the Chicago Pirates beat the Brooklyn Ward's Wonders by
the score of 10 to 7.

In the top of the 7th inning Chicago scored 6 runs when they came up with 7
base hits. The big moment was provided by Charlie Comiskey who silenced the
stadium when he laced a base-hit bringing in two baserunners. Brooklyn was
not lacking for run support as they scored in 6 separate innings, yet victory
eluded them as they seemed to forget that pitching is also needed to win
ballgames.

Baldwin(6-1) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 7 runs. Gus
Weyhing(4-3) absorbed the loss. He got hammered, allowing 12 hits and 3
walks in 9 innings.
