Billy Rhines had a complete game and Germany Smith had 2 base hits and 2 RBI
as the Cincinnati Reds pulled out a win over the Washington Senators by a
score of 8 to 7 at League Park.

The game was won by Cincinnati when they scored a run in the 9th inning.
After two were out Smith drew a walk.  George Hogriever stepped up next and
he lined a one-base hit.  Bill Gray then lashed a single making Cincinnati
the victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration.  Cincinnati finished
with 13 hits in the victory.  

Rhines(2-2) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 7 runs. John
Malarkey(0-3) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He pitched 2/3 of an inning
allowing 2 hits and 1 walk.

'It wasn't my best outing, but I'll take the win' Rhines said.
