The streaking Pittsburgh Rebels edged the Newark Peppers at Exposition Park by
the score of 9 to 8.

Pittsburgh had 4 runs cross the plate in the 3rd inning with the help of 4
hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Rebel Oakes who came through for
the home fans when he ripped a base-hit which was good for two runs.  Both
teams totaled 14 hits on the afternoon.  

The win went to Bunny Hearn(4-3) who allowed 8 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Cy
Barger was credited with his 4th save.  Earl Moseley(3-1) was the loser.  He
was knocked around pretty good, giving up 9 runs in 8 innings.  

No one has been able to stop Pittsburgh lately as they lengthened their
winning streak to 7 games.
