Baltimore scored the decisive runs in a big top of the 9th inning plating 3 runs on 3 base hits. After an out was recorded, Heinie Reitz began the Baltimore spurt when he lined a one-base hit. Wilbert Robinson stepped into the batter's box and he tripled which scored a run. Jim Donnelly then ripped a base-hit bringing in another run. Jack Doyle was up next and he drew a walk. Boileryard Clarke came up to bat and reached on an error. One out later, Bobby Wallace then threw one that got by the catcher for a passed ball scoring the final run of the inning. Baltimore banged out 15 hits on the afternoon. The win was credited to Arlie Pond(4-1) who went 8 innings allowing 5 runs. Dad Clarkson preserved the game for Pond, recording his his 2nd save. Nig Cuppy(4-2) suffered the loss. He allowed 7 runs and 15 hits in 8 and 1/3 innings. Patsy Tebeau was not very talkative after his team's tough loss.
