Togie Pittinger was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and Gene Demontreville had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Boston
Beaneaters defeated the struggling Chicago Orphans by the score of 7 to 1 at
West Side Park.

Pittinger(6-3) looked very much in control throughout the day.  He didn't
allow much, just 4 hits and 5 walks in 9 innings seeing his ERA drop from
2.94 to 2.70.  Boston finished with 11 hits in the victory.  

Jack Taylor(4-3) suffered the loss.  He pitched 9 innings and surrendered 11
hits and 3 walks.It was another victory for Boston at West Side Park.  Now
their winning streak stands at 6 games.
