Third baseman Harry Lord had 4 hits and 2 RBI and Cy Young had a strong outing
as the Philadelphia-AL Athletics crushed the St. Louis-AL Browns 13 to
1.

Young(7-4) earned his pay with a solid performance for Philadelphia-AL. He
went 7 innings surrendering 4 hits and no walks.  Philadelphia-AL bats were
very productive in the 1st inning which saw them score 4 runs on 5 hits and
the 5th inning when they had 4 runs on 5 hits.  St. Louis-AL was out-hit by
Philadelphia-AL, 20 hits to 6.  

Addie Joss(3-4) was the losing pitcher.  He allowed Philadelphia-AL 4 runs in
2 innings of work.  Philadelphia-AL continued their winning ways, with their
streak now at 6 games and counting. Tim Singer was very irritated after the
