Reds beat the Brooklyn Superbas 9 to 3.

Brooklyn was unable to recover after Cincinnati went ahead in the 3rd inning
when they scored 2 runs on 4 hits.  The early run support proved sufficient
for Noodles Hahn(3-1) and Cincinnati.  That was all the run support Hahn
required.  Brooklyn was out-hit by Cincinnati, 14 hits to 11.  

Jim Hughes(5-3) took the loss.  His ERA increased from 4.77 to 5.14 as he
allowed 9 runs in 8 innings.
