Lefty George went the distance and Hap Myers had 2 base hits as the St. Louis
Browns bested the New York Highlanders 5 to 2 at Sportsman's
Park.

George(2-2) gave St. Louis a solid outing.  He was stingy on the mound,
allowing just 4 hits and 5 walks in 9 innings reducing his ERA from 1.59 to
1.26.  St. Louis rapped out 8 hits for the afternoon.  

Ray Fisher(2-4) absorbed the loss.  He pitched 8 innings allowing 8 hits and 6
