Harry Moran was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the Buffalo Buffeds bested the Indianapolis Hoosiers 11 to 3
at Federal Lg Ball Park.
Del Young was spectacular at the plate. The hometown fans showed their
appreciation with a standing ovation his last time at bat. He electrified
the crowd with a Grand Slam home run in the 1st inning, ripped a base-knock
knocking in a run in the 5th inning and slapped a one-base hit bringing home
two baserunners in the 6th inning. Buffalo kept the pressure on throughout
the contest as they scored in 6 different innings.
Moran(3-2) was the winner allowing 3 runs for the game. Earl Moseley(4-1) was
charged with the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 12 hits and 4 walks in 8
innings.
'Some days it just all comes together, and this was one of them' Young said.
'I've been seeing the ball pretty well lately.'
